Building your own smoker questions

Dear Bill,  Is there any sites that have pics of smokers?  Actually good indepth pics that show how they are made.  I plan on making my smoker this summer and have plenty of ideas but am not 100% sure on everything.  On the Lang, is there a damper from the fire box to the cook chamber? Would one be needed if you have a damper on the chimney?  With the deflector on the bottom of the cook chamber to difuse the smoke and heat, does it have progressive vents as it travels to the other end of the smoker or is it Minion Method charcoal boxsolid to make all the smoke travel to the other end?  Regarding the minion method in the book (which is the most informative book I’ve read on actual facts, not filler) is it one after another or a long pile?  The maze is just a trough maze that winds around the fire box, correct?  The gravity feed, does the tube and briquettes have constant contact over the buring briquettes?  Thanks for any help if you can.
