Barbecue in UK

I read your web site regarding your BBQ book.

I will cut to the chase – I love BBQ, unfortunately I was born in the UK, not that I don’t like living here, but any barbecue I have ever been to serves up the usual black chicken, nuclear sausages….you get the picture. We just don’t have a history of it over here.

Well I have decided to make it my mission to change that perception.

With that in mind I come to my query about your book – What I am looking for is a book which will help me design and build a “commercial BBQ” set up which will include the means to grill (direct and indirect), cook traditional BBQ – which I believe is in an offset cooking method and smoking. One that will instruct me on techniques and all the other theoretical stuff. I have bought many books which all seem to be of a similar format a few pages in the 1st chapter explaining the difference between grilling, smoking…etc  where to buy BBQ’s…..etc then followed by a myriad of recipes.

I have thought of planning a trip to the US with pre arranged visits to some BBQ restaurants, maybe a BBQ competition….time will tell. IT seems like if I could get my hands on the right info I wouldn’t need to do that.

Can you let me know if your book would cover what I am looking for
