Just released… Reverse Sear Steak video

reverse sear steakHello:

Folks… let me tell you what – I’m 50 years old and I just got around to eating the best steak of my life! Just think about that and let it sink in for a while…

I’m in the business of selling people on the idea that their BBQ can be much better than what they have been eating at their local BBQ restaurant or cooking in their back yard. Or at BBQ contests for that matter.

I swear, once or twice a week, I run into some old codger who thinks he knows it all and his BBQ is the best in the world. Nothing could be further from the truth. But how am I to convince him or her that they are wrong? It’s darn near impossible.

And now, it’s happened to me – I thought Charley’s Steakhouse down in Orlando was the best steak I had tried so far. And that one we cooked over an open fire up in the mountains about 25 years ago was pretty good. But Finney’s reverse sear steak was even better.

You gotta do yourself a favor and watch the reverse sear video and give this method a try. It may very well be the best steak of your life. Go to www.BarbecueCoach.com TODAY!

Sincerely,
Bill Anderson

Pop Marshall does well in Haines City, FL

Cooked in the Pro Division at the Ribs on the Ridge BBQ contest in Haines City, FL. It was our first Pro cook since I broke my ankle at Waycross, GA, in November 2010. I cooked a couple of successful Backyard contests recently just to try out my skills but it was time to move back in the Pro Division as many of my “friends” were referring (and probably rightfully so) to me as the Sandbagger.   This is a very large contest, quite a bit different from its initial contest 4 years ago. This contest had 45 Pro teams and 36 Backyard teams.

The results:
Chicken 10th  $50
Ribs 2nd  $300
Pork 9th  $50
Brisket 10th  $50
Overall 3rd  $600

Not a bad result!!

Pop’s Que does well in Winter Haven, FL

Hi all,

Smoke on the Water at Winter Haven, FL, has come anwinter haven fl bbq contestd gone. Police estimated the crowd at over 23,000 and hopefully a lot of money was raised for the Citrus Boy and Girls Clubs. In three weeks we do Ribs on the Ridge at Haines City, FL.

We had a young man working with us. Bryan is the same age as Daniel and about 2 inches taller!! His father calls him Bear. He had to stoop over to be able to stand in the trailer. We met him a couple of weeks ago at Dundee and we were mentoring him in BBQ. He did a nice job and will join us again in Haines City, then he is on his own!!

Oh yeah, you probably want to know the results. We missed by 0.18 points of capturing the Grand Championship in the Backyard Division and ended up with Reserve Grand. We won Chicken using grandson Daniel’s chicken rub and Chatham Artillery Special Sauce.  We also won Brisket. Lots of leftover food for our Super Bowl party.
