    I’m a power cooker at BBQ contests and it is good enough to win. I cook at 300-350 deg.

    Having said that, I do believe you can cook better BBQ low and slow IF you know what you are doing – and more things can go wrong in a longer cook. Hot & Fast just seems to work better at contests.
