self a steak cookoff in Texas no less! When you can win a steak cookoff in Texas, you’ve accomplished something big. They took 1st place at the Great Steak Cook Off in Matagorda County Texas. He said he used the Finney “reverse sear” method too. Nice job!
Pit Bulls Up in Smoke had another fine finish with 5th overall at the Smoke on the Falls Noccalula BBQ Fest in Gadsden, AL. Danny had nice walks with 4th in chicken and 3rd in pork.
When Pigs Fly came in 6th at the Sam’s Club National BBQ Tour in San Diego, CA. They had some nice walks with 8th in chicken, 2nd in ribs, and 5th in pork. Not bad in that crowd and they move on to the Regionals!
Two long time BarbecueCoach.com members took 1st and 2nd in ribs at the Tri-State Barbecue Festival in Dothan, AL. The Ross Team took the 1st place honors and Cook’s Portable Smokehouse took 2nd.
4 Smokin Butts took first place in brisket and 5th overall at the Kennett Jaycee’s Show Me State BBQ Cookoff in Kennett, MO. Good Job!
Git-R-Smoked won the Grand at the Planes, Trains, and Barbeque in Tavares, FL. They did it with an impressive 2nd finish in chicken, 1st in ribs and 2nd in pork and brisket! Nice job!

Wooley Bully BBQ Mafia won the Grand at the inaugural Fire Ant Festival BBQ Bash in Ashburn, GA. There were 39 teams at this first time event and Wooley Bully took 7th in chicken, 10th in ribs, 1st in pork, and 3rd in brisket. Good job!
